The only total lunar eclipse of 2019, the Super Wolf Blood Moon eclipse proved to be quite a spectacle, even found to have been hit with a meteor during the eclipse itself! The next full lunar eclipse will not be until the year 2021.

A Super Moon is a full moon when the moon is at its perigee in its orbit. This is when the moon is closest to the Earth. An eclipsed full moon is known as a Wolf Moon. The confluence of these two events gives this event its common name of Super Wolf Blood Moon. The Blood Moon portion of the name comes due to the reddish color of the moon during the eclipse.

This night, I spent over five hours photographing the moon, taking over 300 images of the moon during the different phases of the eclipse. This composite image is a product of those efforts. Enjoy!

All prints, unless hand-delivered, will be shipped 1st class by USPS, with tracked delivery, in an 18"x4"x4" heavyweight mailing tube. Local hand delivery requires prior approval. To obtain approval, contact me via the Contact Me link.
