I had five days to squeeze in a speed run through NW AZ and SW UT. The weather looked like it could go either way, amazing or awful. The direction it took, only time would tell…

From the first moment, this trip didn’t go as planned. That’s par for the course, especially when dealing with Mother Nature. Despite that, getting to see/photograph multiple sunrises and sunsets in addition to quite a bit of wildlife, how could one complain?

My eyes were barely opened from a good night’s rest when I glanced over at my phone. “What’s the cloud forecast look like this morning?” I asked myself as I struggled to decipher the words on my phone. They were upside down... as was my phone. Awake? Nope.

The cloud predictions were setting up to be spectacular. “Could I make it to The Barn?” I wondered to myself. I thought I could, but there was literally no time to debate it. Out the door, I went!

Between aspens dancing in the moonlight, golden leaves raining down all around me, and the rock cliffs towering over me, this Fall color road-trip turned out to be quite an adventure!

Spent an evening scouting Fall colors along with shooting a sunset and a moonrise in the Victor, CO area with fellow photogs Dave Bowers of Red Cliff Photography and Don Savage of Don Savage Photography.

I had an opportunity to visit the Colorado Plains recently. It was an opportunity I could not let pass me by.

I am starting 2020 off with a huge road-trip across the SW and NW!

Spent a very crisp night wandering around San Luis area photographing the night’s sky, Stations of the Cross, and the surrounding areas with.

I spent four days in Crested Butte and it was amazing! The flowers were beautiful…! The people were friendly! The weather was nice! To top it all off, the Flower Festival was in full swing!

Ever been on a photo shoot and feel as if you missed out on a shot only to return weeks later in an effort to get the shot you “missed” before. Well, that sums up this trip quite well. On this trip, I shoot a sunrise in the Windows Area, a daytime shot at Corona and a couple of night images at Delicate Arch.

Had an opportunity to head up to the top of Pikes Peak, in Colorado Springs Colorado, to take a sunrise picture. I couldn’t let it pass….!
